“doesn’t he know that i’ve had him memorized for so long
he sees everything in black and white
never let nobody see him cry
i don’t let nobody see me wishing he was mine
i could tell you
his favorite color’s green
he loves to argue
born on the seventeenth
his sister’s beautiful
he has his father’s eyes
and if you ask me if i love him
i’d lie” — taylor swift “i’d lie”
it’s been a mix of a day and (probably mostly because i have lots of time to myself to think lately), i’m ending my day a bit emotional. but seriously, it’s been a fun day. i laughed a lot and that counts for a lot, i think.
i woke up before the alarm again this morning. that kills me. it totally defeats the purpose of me going to bed early, as i managed to do once again last night. oh, well. so i hung out in bed trying to be sleeping until both alarms had gone off, and then i got cleaned up and dressed and ready and all those normal morning things. the usual. you know. so i headed down to the bagel shop to pick up breakfast. the line there is always crazy long on thursdays, and i always forget until i get there and it’s too late to turn around. so i got in line and eventually i was at the front of it. the guy plopped a bag down on the counter, but i didn’t know what was in it and i wasn’t sure it was for me anyway, so i placed my order: combo bagel with a side of light cream cheese. and then the two guys working the counter look at each other and exclaim, “aww! light cream cheese!” so the cashier guy opened up the bag, replaced the regular cream cheese with light and gave it back to me. that’s right, kids. i’ve become a regular. they had my usual order ready for me before i even was at the front of the line. it’s either awesome or depressing. i’m not sure which. ;) but you know, my bagel was so delicious! i <3 bagels is the best.
work was pretty uneventful. work. lots. you know, just the usual. at least lunch was so delicious. fatburger with all the boys: brian, marke, and jason. and there were more silly games today. though nothing quite as monumental as yesterday. ;)
after work, i headed for the gym and rang sarah on the way. i wanted to hear about her weekend trip to oahu, and it sounds like it was fun. :) and then the gym. pretty uneventful, really. i rode a bike pretty hard for like half an hour and read. you know, the standard. :)
then i headed home and got cleaned up. i talked to the family, and they’re doing well. actually, i talked to mom this morning because today’s her birthday so it seemed like a good idea to call her right away. :) and then i talked to dad and brother tonight, which was fun. and since then it’s been a bit of a tv marathon, as i’m anticipating future thursdays could be, as well. ;) “ugly betty” was so good, and “the office” was even better! and then “grey’s.” i love that show. and now it’s “the o.c.,” which had a great little surprise for me: chris pratt (bright abbott on “everwood,” one of my favorite characters!) is on the show as summer’s hippie friend at brown. so fun!
and i should be getting to bed soon. i’ll be back tomorrow with more. and for the moment, g’night. ;)
