you know, i was thinking life was a bit slower this week but it’s really not true at all. i’ve been keeping myself as busy as ever and i’m gearing up for a really fun weekend, too! :) so i guess that all means that things are going well for me at the moment. that’s good news!

i kind of got distracted last night and didn’t end up actually getting into bed until conan was already on. that’s definitely past my bedtime! i ended up chatting online with sarah and we just kept talking and all of a sudden it was quite late. oops! :) she’s totally worth missing some sleep for, though, so it’s cool. ;) anyway, so that meant i did not get a whole lot of sleep last night before the alarm clock was going off, which was kind of killer. i think the beautiful weather makes up for the lack of sleep, though. waking up to it immediately puts me in a good mood, no matter how poorly i slept the night before. so i got up and into the shower. and somehow i managed to get all ready and dressed and fed really quickly, so i just headed off to work a few minutes early.

work today was good. i have lots of things that just need to get done, so i am managing to keep myself busy enough that i’m entertained without being overwhelmed. great! i was mostly taking care of brochures and printing stuff and normal sorts of things like that. and i did work all day, except for the moments i was playing with that astrojax toy and when i was chatting with diana in her office.

at lunchtime, jan, marke, and i headed out. i needed to pick up a tray from the dentist, so we stopped there really quickly. now i am officially done with that place for 6 months. hooray! :) and then jan needed to stop at the bank, so we went there, too. and finally, it was time to eat, so we went to super bowl for chicken bowls. mine was especially delicious because it had been ages since i’d been there. plus, there was an added bonus! they had wimbledon tennis on the tv there, including matches featuring my two tennis boyfriends, andy roddick and leyton hewitt. :) awesome! hehe!

after work, i came home. when was the last time i said that??? i don’t even remember! but that’s what i did. i wanted to take it easy a little bit, and i also had lots to take care of around the apartment. in fact, i thought i had everything done by now already, but then i realized i need to do dishes still. that might wait until morning, though. anyway, i came home and chilled for a moment. and then after a brief chat (i needed a weather update) with dad, i had some serious packing to do. i’ll be home until wednesday morning, so i needed to get all those clothes together. and it’s hard to decide what i want to wear 4 days from now. i will want a couple options. :) so i didn’t exactly pack light, but i’ve definitely packed worse before. and i’m pretty sure that everything’s mostly all together now, so i should be set to get on that plane tomorrow night.

and then i couldn’t go home for a summertime weekend with old polish on my toes! and i definitely needed that pedicure i gave myself. red red. hot! ;) and then i figured i might as well go for the manicure, as well. sheer light pink. so everything’s looking pretty now, which is a nice little luxury, i think. and somewhere in all that time, i caught up on the last couple episodes of “the hills,” which i’m loving. i love love that jason came back for lauren. even though they were apart for awhile, he found her and he got her back. :) oh, and i also helped sarah look some stuff up online because apparently it’s what i do. haha! her and her family think i can find anything online. i have no secret! i just use google like everyone else! hehe! but anyway, that was funny!

and now i’m just writing while trying to distract myself from the bleach trays in my mouth. 75 minutes feels like forever! but i’m 50 minutes in now! anyway, i need to try to get totally ready for bed in the next 25 minutes. i’m bringing my computer home with me for the weekend, so i’ll be back soon.
