“it’s so hard when it doesn’t come easy
it’s so hard when it doesn’t come fast…
i can live for the moment
when all these clouds open up for me to see
and show me a vision
of you and me swimming peacefully” — dixie chicks “so hard”

happy summer!

um, so, yeah. life picked up again very quickly! i hardly even have time to be writing this, though i pretty much always cut into my sleeping time to write this anyway. :) so it’s been very fun around here but i really just don’t have a ton of time for stuff. and no time for just sitting around. but i think i need the busy-ness right now.

i got a little sleep last night but really not that much before the alarms went off this morning. actually, i cannot remember the first one at all, though i know i must have turned it off. so i got up with the second one (like usual) and was very tired. but i still managed to get cleaned up and dressed and ready and all that. and since i still have no food in this apartment, i stopped off for a white mocha and a donut at starbucks on my way to the office. not the healthiest breakfast ever, but it was delightful! :)

work today was busy busy busy. which is good. and it was mostly just full of random little things, like creating a promo piece for a special edition of one of the magazines or making rtc group logo labels for some sort of meeting that’s held with the editors monthly or something like that. and then i am still working on designing a small piece of stationery for the sales people, which is a cool little project. :) so anyway, work was good. i mean, it’s work. so yeah. :)

for lunch, i just wanted to get out for a little bit. i went back to san clemente pizza company. stop judging me for eating lunch at the same place two days in a row. ;) hehe! it just sounded really good and i like how chill it is there, so that’s where i went. and i had a magazine with me, so i read that. it was just nice to escape for a little bit, you know? and it was a beautiful day out! love that, too!

after work, i headed for the beach for a walk, and on the way i took care of a little business, including arranging a meeting with one of my mom’s financial planner friends for monday (we’re doing lunch!) and arranging to meet up with bobby tonight to talk about a couple new designs. so that was a productive drive. and then my walk was really nice! it was again gorgeous out and tons of surf. and there was some sort of surf competition going on (or just ending), which i think was the high school championships, though i haven’t really verified that information. anyway, good walk! i love the beach! :)

then i headed up to the salon to leave a t-shirt design for bobby (and ashley) and he loved it! yay! so that’s exciting and hopefully it’ll go to the t-shirt printer very soon! awesome! and i love that bobby and i seem to always be on the same page as far as design stuff goes. that makes doing stuff for him even more fun. :)

then i headed home and finished up that workout. it’s killing me how hard it is right now, but i’m stubborn enough to make myself do it all and do it all well. i will be strong! i will do it! :) so i did that and then got cleaned up.

and i desperately needed to get some laundry done so that i’ll have clean clothes to pack tomorrow night as i prepare for the weekend in san antonio. so i put in a couple loads and the the family called. they had arrived here, so they came up to the apartment. and then they quickly discovered that i have no food. and it was like 8:45. so we picked up dinner for everyone at baja fresh next door. and so we ate and watched a little tv together and i finished up the laundry. it’s even folded (though not yet put away).

and now i’m trying to get myself to bed. the family’s getting up at 5 and i’m getting up at 6:45 (though i’ll likely be awoken long before that, honestly). so more from me next time, but for now i need sleep! good night! ;)
